Re: (erielack) ERIE/EL C328 caboose, NJ



        In the second and third shots of C-328 there are, what appear to
be capped filler necks for some kind of tanks.  These are located in the
blanked off end windows at either end of the caboose.
        For anyone that was in Marion, OH two years ago and saw the
caboose that CSX had painted in the EL scheme, they may remember that
these were also present on that caboose.
        Anyone know why these modifications were installed.  I'm certain
these were Conrail installations.
