I vaguely recall seeing someone of that description at the station in 
Scranton. With schedules in hand we used to wait around for the trains to 
arrive/depart. Although it's not completely clear in my mind, I do remember 
the guy who we called "slow" (as he seemed to have a speech problem) carrying 
a canvas bag with newspapers standing outside as the trains would arrive. I 
guess that's the guy. Thanks for dusting off another memory.
