Re: (erielack) DL&W FT Differentiation



He's seen pictures of 650 class FT in passenger scheme.  ALL FTs were
delivered in Freight scheme. Pres. William White made a change in late
1956-57 to paint diesels in passenger scheme as they came due for repaints,
the Freight scheme was to be dropped as they were repainted and the RR would
operate with ONE paint scheme. These are the FT's I believe you are
referring too because about three sets made it into the Passenger scheme in
DL&W late 50's before merger. ONE set was painted in GMY AFTER the EL meger.
6041-6044 at least as I have a slide taken in 61 or 62 in sScranton of the
A-A set. (With drawbar.)  I think the cofusion comes up as some are not
aware of the policy change in paint DL&W made in late 1956 or early 1957.
