With MicroSoft Train Simulator (MSTS) you can construct a virtual model of
just about any railroad you want. The more you know about the physical
aspects of the railroad, the more realistic it is. I've attached a map
which shows the route I'm working on, which now encompasses the EL's Boonton
Line. The track configuration will for the most part follow Bill Sheppard's
track diagram publication with a few deviations for operating potential.
One being the Sussex branch which will include several interchanges.

Other resources used include digital elevation model translators which
provide real topography for the route and a utility that uses USGS maps to
plot out markers locating the track on the terrain.

The Lackawanna MU's recently pictured were created by Jeff Link. I provided
him with all the online info locations that I know of, primarily George
Elwood's site. He's also produced an excellent set of the PRR's MP-54 MU's.

I have asked him if he would construct models of the Boonton car, I don't
have any information on them. They looked very much like the steam coaches
that were converted to MU's, but had open vestibules.

If anyone has information on these cars I could pass along to Jeff, it would
be appreciated.

Regards,
Hank
