Scott, What Rich Pennisi used as diagrams in the book, are known as a "track diagram", which would have been use on a model board in a tower, or dispatcher's board. Please note traffic direction indicators as arrows. If you look at the left side of the track diagram, you will notice eastward signal "R8" on the eastward track. Just to the left of this are marks on either side of the track to indicate a bridge, this is Berkshire Valley Road. On the diagram above the westward main track is "MP 41.27 "CU" Chester Jct. Just below that you will note those bridge marks again, this is Mill Road. Just to the right of that, is the Rockaway River. Hope this helps you out. JJBoehner ------------------------------
