Re: (erielack) Erie in Indiana

In March 1984, I rode the Cardinal, which at the time used a routing out of
Chicago which involved the B&O to Wellsboro, the C&O to Lacrosse, then C&O
of I to Hamilton, Oh. I remember going through N Judson, which at the time
still had quite a few tracks. I seem to recall-a little fuzzy all these
years later-crossing some diamonds, and somebody on the train saying one of
them was the former EL. I'll have to go back there and look when I'm in a
car, but this won't be soon, as I live in Endicott, NY, and no longer drive
over the road. I'll have to sit here and watch NS not run trains, or maybe
go ride Steamtown on the ex-DL&W and drown my sorrows that way. Have a
feeling it won't compare to the Erie in Indiana, though!!
