Re: FW: (erielack) New book w/EL content



I was speaking to a friend of mine that bought a house back in 1993 2 doors
from the former C&O in Merrillville, Indiana.
He said that the house was built in 1974, when of course the Chessie was
still intact.  He stated that he would not have
bought there if the railroad was still running. Obviously the developers of
the Turkey Creek subdivision there did not
care however.

I grew up 300 yard north of the GTW in Merrillville, and absolutely loved
it!
