I got this book several months ago and I would recommend it.  If you like=

to follow the decline and fall of railroads, or at least want to know why=
 a
line got abandoned, this book is for you.  The book covers a lot of
railroads in the eastern US (a western edition is planned) so it really
isn't an EL book.  Still you can trace why soe lines didn't make it and g=
et
into a lot of "what-if's".
