(erielack) Lackawanna and ERIE Door knobs

I have a set the I brought for an antique dealer that says LR on them,it
sounds like the one you have. The dealer told me it was Lincoln Rochester
(an old bank brought out by CHASE) I did not argue, because the loose
hardware & screws were warped in and an EL envelope and stuffed in the
middle. I have seen a photo of my exact knobs on the door at Binghamton in
one of the b&w books on the EL, I can not remember which one. I also have
an ERIE script door knob and an ERIE Diamond door knob. Regards David MV

Does anyone know about cast doorknobs used for the Erie and the Lackawanna?
I just got a brass doorknob with a cast interlocked "LR" in it. It came
with a bunch of other DL&W stuff so I am sure it is authentic. Were these
used on every station? Any idea of time frame?
