EL hoppers continue to ply CSX is various areas - I remember seeing them 
frequently on the Chicago Line in Cleveland last year - Now that I'm in 
Columbus, OH, I continue to see them in regular service on both the ex-C&O 
and the former CR Western Branch to Toledo - even saw three attached hoppers 
in a w/b NS train on the Cincinnati Line on Thursday... 

They getting nearly unrecognizible with fading/deteriorating paint, and if 
they haven't been repainted, probably won't, since the need for 
freshly-painted, drop-bottom hoppers probably isn't too great...
