Re: (erielack) Re: EL-RR Hoppers



Apparently there are still a few E-L hoppers in service and rolling around
the South. I saw one on the CSX Atlanta-to-Nashville main traveling
northbound through Murfreesboro, TN several months ago. Unfortunately, I
didn't have a camera with me either.

It was enjoyable to see it in service and in E-L paint so many years after
the onset of Conrail. I wonder if its strictly economics that caused it to
remain in original livery or if there are some sentimental railroad
employees out there...
