Gary,
All that "Crash Protection" means is that when the engineer's face hits the
collision post, the collision post won't be bent.
The engineer will still bounce around the cab like a ping pong ball in a
shaken cookie jar. If he is "lucky" he won't be tossed through the
windshield.

The best "Crash Protection" always was, is now, and always will be, a well
trained, well rested engineer.
