Re: (erielack) Holiday Armchair Model Railroading

From various sources, here's what I've come up with as to industries in the
towns mentioned:

Owego, NY:
-- Ward & Van Scoy Feed and Lime Service grain elevator (on Erie RR)
-- Owego foundry (on Erie or LV?)
-- Stakmore Chair factory on Elm Street: rec'd or shipped w boxcars
-- Liberty St. spur track serving lumberyard (Erie) [same as below?]
-- lumber yard on Central Avenue [same as above?]
    -- Agway

Johnson City, NY:
    -- Endicott-Johnson shoe factory(-ies?)
-- NYSEG Power Plant (did this exist in 1954? different name?)
-- Fair Play Caramels, made candy

Vestal, NY:
    -- Vestal Lumber
-- a coal distributor across the road, closer to the depot site
-- Mirabito Oil, on Old Vestal Rd just (compass) east of where it crosses
under the DLW towards Binghamton (near the Town Square Mall)
-- Vestal Asphalt, which handles various types of aggregates besides
making asphalt
--National Pipe and Plastic, railroad east of Vestal Asphalt, facing out
on both Old Vestal Rd and Commerce Rd: rail service in the form of loads of
plastic pellets

Does anyone else have any other additions or corrections, or other
information about these industries? I would also be interested as to where
these industries received shipments from on the railroads, and also where
they shipped products on the railroads.

Thanks, and Happy New Year.
