Listers,

All this talk about EL's inclusion into Conrail bring up an interesting 
point-According to the New York Times, Edward G. Jordan, who promulgated the 
idea of Conrail and was its first CEO died on the 29th of December. Since I 
am not a subscriber to the NYT, I didn't get to read the whole obituary.

As an adjunct to this, was Jordan particulaly anti-EL, or was it a group 
consensus between CR upper management?
