(erielack) Arthur Erdman

Arthur has been kind enough to answer signal questions for me in the past,
but a recent query revealed he has retired from NJT. Not sure if he's on
the list. Is he?

I'll as the question at large in the hope someone might be able to answer
it. As EL faded into NJT were there major changes in signaling between East
End and Terminal that make train handling markedly different today over
EL/DLW days?

Arthur
Again, thank you for this earlier help. In addition to what you've
explained below. For EB traffic into Hoboken Terminal and given a Slow
Clear indication at the EB Terminal Interlocking home signal, what would the
distant signal be indicating? I assume that signal would be somewhere
between 'East End' and Terminal and itself might be a home signal or hold
out signal. Would it be Y/Y or Y/Y/R?

CNJ, for some reason, was fond of three head distant signals. Are there any
instances of these in NJT?
Thanks,
Hank
