Ed Montgomery and I have had an off-list discussion re: the July 2001 EL
Calendar photo. Ed pointed out something interesting: The image is dated
10/76. How can that be, though? A pair of *unnumbered EL road units*, on *EL
track*? Six months after CR's inauguration?

Other thoughts that came to my mind:

1. They mention that "pool power from the PC" was used in NE97 and NE74.
That's fine. But that pool power usually never went west past Port Jervis,
did it not?
2. The PC pool power stopped in *1972* when the Poughkeepsie Bridge burned!
For that matter, did NE97 or NE74 come off the road as well, or did they
continue via a different routing?

I love calendar caption nit-picking. :)
