Brian,  During early CR they re-signaled from CP ERWINS to what was called
East, West, & North GLASS the three legs of the Wye, also built new, so  the
NYC (PC)  Fallbrook Line could use the Erie ROW around Corning, rather than
through it, I think it was 1978.  Elmira HO to Southport was CTCed (dual
direction running) by the Erie in the mid 50's with a small machine in HO
tower and one at FS (Fifth Street)  at the west end of Elmira (UNION) depot,
because the PRR used the Erie through here (Southport to HO).  During the
90's CR started at Hornell and worked east to Waverley, that's as far as the
got single tracking the Erie, and establishing  CP's and passing sidings.  I
