(erielack) Railroader recalls of the Utica Branch

On ebay right now is a copy of Clear the Tracks by Bromley published in 1943.
It's the tales of the rails of a Lackawanna engineer on the Utica and
Richfield Springs branches in the days of camelbacks and coal trains. He
hired out in the days of woodburners. It's some great storytelling that's
full of context and great mental imagery. Right now it's $9.00 which is a
real steal.

It's at http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350195019

                All the best, ....Mike
