Tom, I don't know for sure but this list can for sure get you connected with
the man who will know for sure . . . got that?

At the ELHS convention last fall, there was a presentation by (Paul!  Quick!
What was his name??) who meticulously "covered the waterfront" for us, and
covered Weehawken especially.  I ___think___ that there was coal handling at
Weehawken by the Erie, (though it wasn't the big thing there, and may not
have lasted for long??)but I __ know__ that the O&W had coal handling
capability right nearby, I believe upriver a very short ways, near the NYC.
This is shown in _Where Rails Meet the Sea_ by Michael Kreiger.

The real answer will come about for you, either here on the list (I hope) or
by talking to Mr X, as soon as Paul (or someone else who attended and has a
better memory, or records, that I) can connect you.
