(erielack) Arcadia's book on Orange, N.J., by Dorflinger, and Santa

Author Don Dorflinger donated an autographed copy of his new Orange, N.J.,
book to Tri-State to be one of the 50/50 prizes at the December 9th meeting
at the Morris County Cultural Center, 2 miles west of Morristown on Route 24.

Come one, come all.

Also, just a few tickets remain on Tri-State's 9th Annual Santa Train,
picking up at Dover, Hopatcong and Netcong on Saturday on NJ Transit with a
specially decorated train. The trip lasts about an hour, and boarding is
around 2:00 p.m. Exact schedule comes with the tickets. Paid for tickets
can be picked up at the meeting, or on the train on Saturday. These trips
are great fun and each kid gets a gift from Santa.

Also, Tri-State is teaming up with the Masonic Lodge in Netcong on its
Charlie Brown Christmas for the kids at the Easton Home for Children. These
orphans get no gifts for Christmas, and can use things like hats, gloves,
socks, underwear, bathroom sundries and other staple items. If you're
willing to help, bring a wrapped gift marked for a boy or girl. Tri-State
people will collect the gifts, and the Masons will waiting at Netcong. Even
if you don't ride the train, the gift would be most appreciated.

                    All the best, ....Mike
