Re: (erielack) Re: Pocono service

I have been thinking about the comments of getting a line back into
operation. Some of the comments appear to indicate that the only propose
in the running trains was so fans could watch trains. While I like to
watch trains as much as anybody else, there must be a purpose. Running a
train for 10 passengers doesn't make much sense. The cost of running these
trains will come from your pocket! The state much pay for the contruction
and maintenance on the line. This money comes from income taxes (I don't
think you want to pay more), additional taxes on gasoline (it will cost you
more to drive to see these trains) or increase the already high taxes on
railroads currently in operation in the state.

If operating the line made sense, railroads would be doing it.
