(erielack) Epitaph on West End

All,
I biked on a portion of the former EL through Crown Point, IN to a dual main
line bridge over a small
creek.  This portion is going to be paved starting June 5th, so I thought
I'd best look at the bridge
before it was covered over. Im sure glad I did. Painted on the remaining
timbers, was in bright
YELLOW paint ( coincidence ? ) was "RIP ERIE LACKAWANNA".  Once the film is
developed,
Ill send a scan of it to Paul Tupaczewski.  Amazing what you can find
spray-painted on old
railroad bridges.
