Those who know me well realize that I'm pretty picky about accuracy, and in
this vein, I'd just
like to ask if anyone knows of any "non-standard" lettering on EL solid red
scheme (the "spartan"
scheme, not the one with the lightning bolts)...
I've found two examples, and thanks to George Elwood's posting of Karl
Geffchen's photos, a third one.
They're all "Dunmore" C100-class cabooses. One of them (I think it's the
C150, I have a photo somewhere)
was sublettered "NJNY SERVICE ONLY." Another one (can't remember the
number) was sublettered
"BJ DRILL." And now I see that the C185 was sublettered "BOOTON DRILL" (yes,
misspelled and all)
Were any other cabooses so sub-lettered?
