Subject: This is a deceptive photo, because this locomotive is actually running backwards, pushing this coal train, which came from the Elk Valley Coal Mine Operations near Sparwood in southeast British Columbia. The lake is the Columbia Reach on the southern end of Kinbasket Lake. The background mountains belong to the Blackwater Range of the Rocky Mountains. August 19/05, at Beavermouth on the Mountain sub.
