This bridge is the highest and longest of its type in the world. It measures 1839 meters long (1.14 miles) and sits 105 meters (344 feet) above the Oldman river bed. Construction began in 1907 and took 12,500 tonnes of steel. A CPR official stated that this bridge is good for another 100 years.
