From: "Steven Kalka" elsworth -AT- juno -DOT- com Date: Mon Dec 14 20:54:06 2009 Subject: Taken on New York Railroad Enthusiasts trip 2005 Labor Day Trip. Train on Tunkhannock Viaduct, Nicholson, PA. This bridge, completed by the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad as part of the "Hallstead Cutoff" in 1915, contains more concrete than any other bridge ever constructed. It is 240 feet high and 2375 feet long. It is now operated by Canadian Pacific. Taken on 9/5/05 by Steve Kalka. This is the first of 2 photos of this viaduct. image/jpeg, 1200x900 (24bit)
