The daily (7 days) train leaves Bogalusa and the Temple-Inland facility around 7 a.m. daily and arrives at Wanilla about 11. The cars are switched at G-P and empties picked up at Wanilla and the train heads south by 1, returning to Bogalusa about 5. The Bogalusa line is the former New Orleans & Great Northern line and was also home to GM&O's Rebels. The Freedom Train travelled the route from Jackson to Wanilla to Bogalusa and New Orleans in 1947. The line is removed north of Wanilla and just east of the G-P facility. To the west, the line goes to Brookhaven where it connects with the CN-IC main.
