On track #1 sits a unit grain train, which appeared to be empty and if so, will be heading east on the Taber Sub; CP8830 (ES44AC) was on the east end of this train. The first third of the consist was made up of grain cars, followed by autoracks and the remaining third were intermodal containers. This unit was manufactured in the Bombardier plant in Thunder Bay, Ontario with final assembly in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Its destination is the Altamont Commuter Express rail service in California, which runs between Stockton and San Jose. This car travelled west across Canada and will likely enter the U.S. (Idaho) on the Kingsgate Sub to be picked up by Union Pacific. For more information on this train see photos "CP3084_1 to _8" further down the list. Locomotive 4106 is a FP9A built by GMD as CN FP9A #6515 in 1957. It was sold to VIA in 1978 and became VIA #6515. Then remanufactured in Montreal in 1984 and renumbered to VIA #6307. Subsequently sold to Ohio Central in 2002, then acquired by CP for it's Royal Canadian Pacific train service in 2006 and repainted in the Maroon/Grey "Script" paint scheme at NRE, Capreol, ON in April 2007. CP4106 replaces CP4101. Unit 3084 is a GP38-2.
