Subject: Here is the first of 3 photos of NS #3549, a GE Dash 8-32B taken on 6/1/06. It was sitting on the siding of the small yard leading from the GE plant in Louisville, KY. It was waiting for a crew to begin its operations in the container yard right down the road.

Subject: Here we see CSX 2412 (EMD SD40-2)being used in the Osborne Yards Hump Units Division. It also had CSX 1052 (slug) helping pull a load of Ford Explorer Frames to be pushed back into the sorting yard, for delivery to the local Ford Plant

Subject: Here we see CSX 7662 (GE CW40-8) leading a long string of engines and freight heading north from Osborne Yard in Louisville, KY towards Cincinnati, OH. The 2nd unit was CN 6139 (EMD SD40-2), followed by CSX 7385 (GE CW40-8), CSX 7849 (GE CW40-8), CSX 5295 (GE ES44DC), and Ex-Conrail, now CSXT 7493 (GE C40-8). More than enough power for their trip, so CSX must be needing some engines somewhere further east.

Subject: An auto carrier train that crossed Preston Highway, during a switching operation the evening of 3/26/06. GCFX 3058, an EMD SD40-2 leads CSX 7600, a GE C40-8 on this switch duty. All Auto Carriers were empty, being pushed onto the siding to start being loaded with brand new Ford Explorers.

NS 2606 (SD70M) leads UP 4560 (SD70M) and NS 4800 (GE B40-8 Dash 8-40B) on an intermodal run from Louisville, KY to Norfolk, VA. These photos were taken at the renovated Buechel Depot, at a local picnic hosted by Division 8 of the NMRA. There was even a Sealand Double Stack car was even in the mix of double stack and intermodal cars.

Subject: CSX 4837, an EMD SD70ACe and CSX is lead by a CSX SD40-2 on this auto carrier train heading towards CSX Osbourne's yard, after picking up brand new Ford F series pickup trucks form the Ford plant in Eastern Louisville. This train was sitting on the main line along Frankfort Ave in downtown Louisville, waiting for clearance to head on into the yard.
