When you have created a character and receive the "Welcome to MOON MUD!" menu
select #1 the "Dock to the MOON!" item. This will put you into the game. Use
one letter commands for movement in a direction, ie: n, s, e, w, u, and d for
north, south, east, west, up and down. Each "room" has the potential for six
exits, but many only have one or two.
To get to the trains when you have actually entered the game and been put into
the Lunar Temple follow these directions: s [ENTER], d, [ENTER],e [ENTER], e
[ENTER], u [ENTER] and finally w [ENTER]. [ENTER] means hit the enter key or
carraige return key after a command has been entered.
You should now be at the Ferry Landing Station of the NYC commuter route. Here
you can just sit and wait for the train to arrive so you can board it (UP when
it appears) or act like the classic railfan and walk the tracks from station to
station. When a train appears type "look train [ENTER]" to view a description
of the train, "look loco [ENTER]" to see the engine and "look cars [ENTER]" to
see the consist. The "exits" command will show the current directions you may
move with brief descriptions. The "help" command can be useful for a quick list
of possible commands which may be used. "help command_name" will give more
extensive help on the command you entered in place of the word "command_name".
Beware of evil characters who may wander through from time to time such as the
Sewer Rat and the occasional Mugger, they can kill you if you can't defend
yourself. If you find yourself getting attacked just type 'flee' and you
should run away. If you manage to get killed for some reason or another just
reenter the game and continue on :)
It's much easier for first timers if they have a Guide to show them around, it
also helps if an evil character happens to accost you for any reason!
