Re: (rshsdepot) Kendrick, ID

what is? That if others use "liberal" and "socialist" as a curse, as a
put-down, that I use "Republican"?

That finally something positive and productive will be done in this country
due to a "liberal" and "socialism"?

That no one here will even discuss it because of their backwards political
beliefs?

I said I would go away, so don't respond to me. I will read every time
another station is knocked down on a Sunday or overnight or despite people
wanting to save it. I will be as silent as all others.

Someday our great grandchildren will wonder why unlike Europe, we knock
almost all our old heritage down. Foolish bottom-line thinking,
subservience to those who own our landmarks, who manage our heritage.

Democrats have problems too, we do need a real opposition party, not these
clowns in control now, we need a new party, a better one, a big realignment.

And now that I have brought about more mail in one hour than in the past 6
months, perhaps we should discuss more, the reasons no one respects
landmark preservation anymore, cares about what used to be the center of
their towns and history.

It is all about politics, it isn't about anything else. Name me when they
have litigation over injuries in an abandoned structure, tower, depot?
Never? Once in a blue moon? Name me a mall, and empty mound of dirt, a
parking lot, that will someday be admired and have clamoring for landmark
protection.

Just leave me be, your stuff is fading away, hopefully for good. The whigs
are no longer needed, the silver standard, the gold standard, stagecoaches,
they are now over, and so is reductionist absurdist over-weaning
destruction of landmarks and historic heritage. Well, teh last part is
wishful thinking and is beyond just archaic Republican ideologies (none of
which worked teh past 8 years, but then they didn't really have the courage
to do much honestly, so who knows.
