The station was built in 1902, and was an Amtrak stop until 2006, when
it was replaced by a new station about one mile north.

CP Rail has announced their intention to demolish the old Sturtevant, 
Wisconsin
depot by June 1st 2009

This is a Former Milwaukee Road Depot Located between Milwaukee &
Chicago

They are offering it to interested groups who want to move it away.

They will donate $8,000.00 toward the effort.  (Their demolition
cost.)

So far, it doesn't look like a local group will be able to pull it
together to save it.

Please notify any interested groups.
