A new pitched roof and brick exterior replaced the flat-roofed, stucco

Interestingly, I checked back to the travelogue of my 1998 trip on the
Empire Builder, the one time that I've been to the Minot station. In my
travelogue, I described the building as a "modern stucco depot," as one could not
tell from its appearance that it was actually an historic building, built in
1905. I'm glad that they're trying to restore the historic character of this
building.
