Dear friends:

It is with no small amount of sadness that I advise you of the passing of a great friend of all of us, a great railfan, a great railroad employee and the person who many credit with doing so much to convince the BNSF that, just like the FEC, the railroad enthusiasts are a caring group who, with
just a small amount of courtesy and interest from the road, will support that road in every way possible.

Robert Pounds spent his entire career as a railroader, both with AT&SF and with BNSF and was a top level police official for the road. He was also a top-notch collector of timetables and memorabilia and a consummate gentleman, and I got to know Bob through the various railroad
memorabilia shows that we did including, among others, Ft. Worth, Denver and Albuquerque.

I personally feel that the industry and "the hobby" have lost a great friend and I know that you all join me in extending our sympathies and condolences to Bob's family. May he rest in peace.

As ever,
Seth
