I've seen this guy Brucker before on programs about NYC and GCT. He's a
typical PR hack - full of hype and apocryphal stories, but VERY short on
knowledge of real railroad facts, figures, and history. Very little that he says
can be deemed believable. He reminds me of the British TV producer who
commented on the fact that something in the vicinity of 50% of British school
children think that Winston Churchill was a fictional character, but that King
Arthur and Robin Hood were real persons. His comment was that it was
regrettable about Churchill, but he was pleased that modern producers were
able to : "sell their stories so well" !! In This case, Brucker's business isn't
teaching facts, it's "selling stories."
