My New England friend says NE freight has never recovered from this bridge
being out. He wants to know why it can't be used again. How can it allow
hundreds maybe 1000s on it in 2009 if trains can't use it? (anyway the
sides seem unsafe for large crowds to not fall.

the 2009 celebration of the anniversary of Henry Hudson sailing up the
river.
