What's with a auction. Here on Long Island the feds gave over 2500 acres of  
land, the old Grumman airport, to the Town of Riverhead to do as they wanted. 
It  is presently being carved up and sold to private users. Since your land is 
 now EPA cleared, get your reps in Washington to give it to the town. This is 
 done all over the USA, why not Sparta.
