Hey Guys,
Maybe you remember a while back a bunch of folks were getting together
to try and save the New York, Susquehanna & Western Railroad station in
Sparta, N.J.? Well, a local citizen, Bill Truran of Sparta, is giving
it a go. He has a lot of useful connections and has jumped into this on
his own. He's been in touch with Charles Smith, whas the originator of
the initiative, so knows about the issues involved.
Right now he needs some support, a sort of show of hands to wave at the
folks in Sparta, proving that people do want the station preserved and
restored.
All you need to do is write down why you think it's important to keep
the Sparta station around and restore it. You should identify the
group(s) you're involved with.
Please contact me off list (rutan3_@_nac.net) for Bills address. Paper
letters are stronger than emails. If you do want to just email the
message, send it to me and I'll forward it along to Bill.
