(rshsdepot) Battle Creek, MI GT Depot Open House

The massive Grand Trunk Depot in Battle Creek, MI was built in 1906 to plans prepared by the architectural firm of Spier and Rohns. The 1907 Battle Creek Daily Journal proudly called it "one of the most elaborate and finely finished depots in the country". In 1989 the depot underwent a major, VERY well funded renovation, for use as home to the Community Action Agency (CAA) of South Central Michigan.

On Sunday, Oct 1 the CAA will hold an open house to mark the 100 th birthday of the depot. Hours are 1-5 PM.
