For those not familiar with Elizabeth, NJ today, the 1892 main part of the
station (eastbound) with the clocktower has been restored and operates as a
cafe. The westbound station building and all platform canopies are gone. The
CNJ tracks have been severed just west of the station. Amtrak (ex-PRR)
passes over the CNJ on a trestle just to the right of the photo, which was taken
from the PRR platform. A great shot of once was one of the finest CNJ
stations.

The Westbound station was actually destroyed by a train running through it.
