RE: (rshsdepot) Bad News: North Pemberton NJ Railroad Station



Unfortunate news about the North Pemberton station effort, but given all 
your hard work, why give up now?  Corporations may get their way with 
corrupt public officials, but ultimately they depend on the public for 
their profits.  It's a long shot, but enough bad publicity might change 
their tune.  If the support is out there, why not boycott the existing 
Wawas in Pemberton and surrounding areas?  Keep the press on your side 
and get some good David vs. Goliath stories to give Wawa a nice big 
black eye.   Foment public outrage about the problems with the zoning 
process.  Tie your cause to the larger anti-sprawl movement.  If you can 
find an architect or artist to do a nice color sketch of your proposed 
museum complex, that would help captivate the public's imagination and 
rally support to your cause.  If you can get overwhelming public support 
and outrage, Wawa's position will become unsustainable.  Just my 2 cents 
worth based on a few of these fights I've been through.

These setbacks are incredibly frustrating, but don't give up.  If your 
position is the right one, stubbornness is a virtue.
