Brest is the westernmost town on Britanny.
Detailed map, Brest is on the Bay of Brest:

On the Brittany mainland, Brest is the westernmost part of mainland France.
Here is the Brest railroad station, built 1865, on this c.1900 postcard. La

The main hall was demolished in 1935 and modernized. In 1940 bombing
destroyed the rest.
Brest had a few rail stations.

Trams Brestois:
1st tram in 1898, between Town Hall and the Kerinou factory.
The Brest Conquet (St. Pierre Quibignon to Conquet.) This line used two
poles like Cincinnati; well, a bit different. Here is a price schedule for
all the 20 stops in 20 kilometers on this tram route, you might note the
various rail lines, some of which I haven't mentioned yet (this resembles a
time table): http://www.chez.com/eddyko/horaires.jpg
The Tram Conquet running in Brest streets:

What we see in the picture below is, on the left on la rue is the one pole
Brest city streetcar, a nice waiting structure on the left. On the right is
the waiting room for the Conquet tram which had private right-of-way as we
see here, with the two pole two car tram on the right in the picture below.
We see two lines here:
