It is not and was not the "fault" of the L. I. R. R., but, rather, the
people of the town, city, area, region (or whatever the jurisdiction is
called) for not acting propitiously and in a timely manner to save "their"
station.
Obviously and apparently "they" didn't care, and when "the locals" don't
care enough, then more is the pity, but, regretfully and unhappily, dear
ones, THAT is the end of the story.
