City gives money
for railroad center
DICKINSON - The city will provide $250,000 to the Dickinson Historical Society to help renovate the Historic Railroad Center, 218 FM 517 West.
The center is the site of the old League City railroad depot, which is being restored to house the North Galveston County Chamber of Commerce, the society, a visitors center and a meeting facility. Another depot, which once served Dickinson, is on the site and will be used as a museum.
