Mark:
Please be advised that because of insurance increases and a mover not reccommending a 300 mile move as well as their getting members to travel a couple of times to Perrydale, from Medford, the SONRHS has all but said that they will not be accepting the Pernament Loan of the Perrydale Railroad Depot after-all.

For this reason, we have started to make contact with the Oregon Electric Railway Museum at Brooks; which is not far from Perrydale, to see if they want the depot. A couple of emails we received a week or so ago, suggested that they might want it.

If you know of a group, or individual that might want it, please let us know; as the Oregon Electric Railway Museum might say not to it as well. The county did make some specifications for acquiring it; which require it to be moved by June 30th; as well as re-assembled and restored and publicly used "in Oregon". In other words a work-shop or barn, or dwelling on private land would not meet those reequirements. A store, restaurant, depot or museum would. We must retain ownership (until it's restored and put back into use; as the wording of their gift declaration to us, would make us believe. That is why we call it a Pernament Loan).

As we stated from day one, our purpose is to save the depot from the bulldozer; and not necessarily to own and have it at our museum.

Thank you for your previous inquiry into the depot.
