A break-in at the ex-SP roundhouse in Portland Oregon recently resulted in
the theft of the double-sided main steam gauge from the cab of the SP&S
700. The members of the PRPA who work so hard to keep "The Lady", as the
locomotive is known,in operational condition ask if anyone happens upon it
to please contact the PRPA at <http://www.sps700.org>.

The gauge is very distinctive in appearance, having both the SP&S logo and
the locomotive silkscreened on the gauge face.

It is black, large, with a lamphousing at the top as part of the gauge
case casting. Needless to say, the volunteers are saddened by this
senseless theft.  The cab won't look the same without it.
