The NBC "Today" Show on Friday the 28th broadcast a story on Grand Central Terminal in NYC, featuring a fascinating tour guided by an MTA spokesman (you NYC list members might know who he is). Included were a look at the "secret" elevator installed for FDR, and a look at the clocks--the Tiffany-glass one facing the street, and the big one over the information desk, valued at "$10 to $25 million" because they are opal..........
Broadcast at the beginning of the second half of the show. Nice, if all-too-brief, story. Maybe those west of us can catch it.
