Metro North is celebrating the 90th anniversary of Grand Central Terminal today through Saturday.

90TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Wednesday – Sunday

Grand Central will be celebrating its 90th Anniversary in style with all of the following in Vanderbilt Hall: 

90TH ANNIVERSARY EXHIBIT - chronicles many of Grand Central’s unique stories and facts (do you know why the constellations on the Sky Ceiling are backwards?). It is a “walk back in time” in one of New York City’s most historic buildings.

FREE TOURS OF GRAND CENTRAL - tour guides will be on hand between noon and 3:00 PM each day to give free group tours of the Terminal. 

STORYCORPS - a project to capture the oral history of America that you can participate in by recording individual life stories in a special soundproof booth. 

BROADWAY SHOW EXCERPTS - Thursday,12:30 PM, Movin’ Out, 1:00 PM,
Little Shop of Horrors. Friday, 12:30 PM, Thoroughly Modern Millie. 
MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT – Wednesday, 11:00 AM, Roy Campbell Jazz Quartet, 5:00 PM, Blue Heaven Swing Band. Thursday, 5:00 PM, Mecca Bodega – World Music. Friday, 5:00 PM, Pers – Doo Wop Group.

90TH ANNIVERSARY FAMILY PARTY - Saturday, you and your family are invited to celebrate with us from noon to 5:00 PM. Musical entertainment and a host of children’s activities including costumed characters, story readings, and the building of the Kid’s Grand Central Train at 3:00 PM. Anniversary Cake at 2:00 PM.

TASTE OF GRAND CENTRAL - $10.00 on Saturday and Sunday” will allow you to enjoy large samples and tastings of signature dishes from 18 participating Grand Central Dining Concourse eateries and fine restaurants.

STORE, RESTAURANT AND MARKET SPECIALS – Many of Grand Central’s merchants are offering sales, discounts, demonstrations and more during the Anniversary.
Pick up an Anniversary Guide at participating merchants which list all of these specials.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS / FREE GRAND CENTRAL ANNIVERSARY POSTER – just spend $25.00 or more in any combination of Grand Central’s retail stores, restaurants or Market during the Anniversary Celebration and present your receipts to a special booth in the Terminal to receive a free, limited edition, collectable created by collage artist Michael Albert (who will autograph it on Saturday).
