I thought Ocean Electric was on the peninsula proper, not over there on the
east end like that...learn something new everyday I guess..
Interesting on this map are which Electric Lines included...some NY & Queens
County lines seem included, maybe a BRT surface line, the West End to Coney
Island is a thin line Electric, the Myrtle Avenue surface line that was a
steam dummy line from Ridgewood to Richmond Hill is on the map, but the
Jamaica Plank Road Company which had the earliest electric line is not, the
Brooklyn and Coney Island, also 1889 electrification, is not on the map
either. North Shore Traction I think had started by now, but that was a LIRR
competitor
This is a pretty good map, it even has the NY & Northern (Putnam) little bit
into Manhattan at the Polo Grounds
