(rshsdepot) Toronto Union Station

I'd like to refine my earlier request for information on Toronto Union
Station, and provide a little more background. I'm preparing the article
for Rail magazine, which is a publication that the Community
Transportation Association of America (CTAA) began a year and a half
ago. It has had relatively limited circulation up to this point. Our
purpose is to promote rail passenger service as a viable mode of
transportation. We are documenting newe services and facilities, but
also incorporating a bit of historical perspective. Our goal is to
publish quarterly; so far we've published four editions. I am the writer
for the station related articles. As fellow true believers, any of you
can recieve two free copies of Rail (a $20 value) by sending me your
mailing address.
CTAA also owns the Athol, Massachusetts B&M depot and manages a local
transit service from the facility. In addition, we offer loan funding
for purchase and rehabilitation of station facilities. See our website
www.ctaa.org for more information.
As for Toronto, it appears that Union Station was completed in 1919, but
opened in August of 1927. Can anyone explain the eight year delay?

Many thanks.
